~ Buck Rogers Spaceship ~

This extraordinary 3 ½ inch, die cast space rocket has 2 soft rubber wheels in front and a sprag in back. Exceptional details. It is a very interesting item. Made in the early 1950’s by Midgetoy in Rockford, ILL. The 1940’s and 1950’s image of a space ship are distinct, the large tail fin, small trailing side fins, and windshield in front. The raised Pilots deck and the lower utility decks are sharply defined in the external details.

The toy comes in a cellophane bag with a top tag stapled on. The top tag is bedecked with the Midgetoy elves, and says, Buck Rogers Space Ship, and is marked 10¢. It is dated ©1954. We found a few boxes of toys like these in an old dime store distributors warehouse. Very rarely do we have the opportunity to offer such a unique item in Perfect Condition in the store package. The photo above shows a box of 24 Space Ships the way we found them. Four colors, Red, Blue, Green and Silver.
