Complete set of all 48 states and D.C.! All from 1954 except Maryland, Wisconsin, D.C., and Missouri which are from 1955 and Utah which is ’53. These are the quality, rolled edge, embossed and multi-color lithographed Tin license plate that you would find in a box of Wheaties, Post Toasties or Cheerios, one per box. Remember the FREE INSIDE banner across the front of the box? This set is in almost Perfect Condition! No rust, no dings, no gouges or scratches, no fading. Only minor handling rubs on a few, barley noticeable. .

They average 5 inches by 2 inches. Some are slightly different sizes or shapes because they are exact scale replicas of the original auto plates from that year! South Dakota has a color lithograph of Mount Rushmore at the top, Tennessee is the shape of the state, Wyoming has the bucking bronco, and many have the States motto's like Michigan has Water Wonderland, Kansas has the Wheat State, Etc.

These were made by J.L. Clark Company, Rockford, IL and sold to Post Cereals and General Mills. They were made in 1953, 54, and 55. This complete set came from a box lot at an estate sale of a JL Clark retired employee who brought a few sets home. We have them now. They haven't seen daylight for 50 years!

Kids would relish finding "their" state and would put them on bicycles and scooters. Almost half a century old! Extremely Rare Set!
