1950’s Prince Albert

Hinged Lid Tobacco Tin

For Pipe & Cigarette Smokers

"This Tin Does Not Contain Tobacco”

It is ovular in shape and stands 4 ¼ inches high. It is an inch thick and 3 inches wide. All Tin. The bottom is embossed “Prince Albert” and the hinged top is embossed “Net Wt. 1 ⅝ Ozs.”

The top has a crimp sealed flange around the rim and is hinged along the back. The can has embossed features where it says, “Push Up” that accommodate your thumbs to unseal the front of the crimped rim lid.

The lid will pop open on it’s hinge and allows easy access for putting tour forefinger and thumb into the can and retrieving some tobacco. It will then snap shut on the hermetic sealed edge to maintain freshness.

The tin litho lithographed graphics are Red, White, Black and Yellow. They feature an illustration of Prince Albert. The bottom of the front defines the product as ”Crimp Cut ~ Long Burning ~ Pipe and Cigarette Tobacco. One side says "R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. Winston-Salem N.C. U.S.A." The state abbreviation with periods and lack of Zip Code place this before 1961.

The other side says “For Pipe and Cigarette Smokers” in a fancy waved font. Many people didn’t smoke “Ready Rolled” because of the price and chose this tobacco and cigarette papers for their cigarettes.

No Rust, No Scratches, No Dings, typical Handling patina, PERFECT CONDITION!  We wrap it carefully in a crush proof box and send it First Class.
