Carved Bone Standing Elephant 3 ½ Inches Ornate Etched Elephant Scrimshaw Miniature Oriental in Fancy Gift Box  This elephant stands 2 inches tall, and is 3 ½ inches long. Ornate, Fancy details. Realist looking Indian Elephant. Looks like Carved Bone, with elaborate, fine etched patterns. I am not sure the actual materiel is bone, but it is from India where Bone is a favored materiel for carving and etching this style of miniature décor.
 We only have a few, and because each is hand made, each one has slightly different Patterns as seen in these two photos. You get the next one out of the large wholesale box. It comes individually boxed in a fancy, soft lined box, 4 by 2 ¼ by 2 inch, hinged lid box. The hasp is linen strap, looped through a tooth like wedge that hooks into a linen strap on the front of the box. All is of high quality.
