Westinghouse Golden Jubilee ~ 1886 - 1936 Large Golden Celebration Token Coin Westinghouse Refrigerator on the Back
This large token is about the size and weight of a half dollar. 1 ¼ inches in diameter. I don’t know what it is made of, but I suspect Gold plated bronze or brass. Westinghouse was proud of their 50th anniversary, and it shows in the quality of this coin. Highly detailed. It says, “Westinghouse Golden Jubilee” around the edge, with the old logo of a large W with a line under it. On the left side it says 1886, on the right side it say 1936.  The reverse side Says, “The New Standard Of Refrigeration Value”, around the edge, with stars along the bottom completing the circle, and in the center is proudly displayed Their new Refrigerator. We found a small number of these in a cloth drawstring bag in a drawer in an old desk, in a dry, constant temperature room, so there are some very minor scratches or dings, but absolutely no circulation wear or corrosion! Two are shown in the photo so you can see both sides. You are buying one for the money, not the pair. Over ¾ of a Century old! We protect it in soft materiel, hermetically seal it in plastic, and mail it to you for only $2.45. |
