Pop-Pop Candle Powered Boiler

Titanic ~ Steam Powered

14 inch Tin Toy Ship

Called “The Titanic” This detailed tin lithographed tin sailing ship has 4 stacks just like the original Titanic. It uses a small candle (2 included) to power a Pop-Pop style steam boiler propulsion. It is impressive looking, 14 inches long!

The boiler is an extra large, dual pipe steam expansion style propulsion system that builds up steam from a small candle. It has a copper boiler cover that bulges up slightly with the steam and then pops down repeatedly ejecting steam bubbles as small puffs of steam out the rear propulsion tubes to move the ship surprisingly fast. It makes a Pop-Pop-Pop sound as the gusts of steam continuously exhale through the propulsion tubes below the water line. That’s why the small ones are called Pop-Pop boats, and the large ones are Pop-Pop ships! The tin deck snaps off to fill the boiler and service the candle. Here is a shot of the boiler.

The ship includes an eye dropper to fill the boiler with water, a candle holding pan with a long handle, 2 small candles and instructions. Pop-Pop ships are exciting to watch. They work well in a bath tub, pool, or open water. The deck protects the boiler and candle heat source from sloshing water. This is one of the finest steam powered boats we have ever offered. It's heavy. 2 Lbs Mailing weight. Buyer pays Priority Mailing depending on Zip Code.
