1952 Store Display Set


This store display set of one dozen bottle tops was made in 1952. It's 13 inches wide and 11 ½ inches tall. Cardboard die cut construction. Made out of Bakelite, Stainless Steel Spring and Virgin Natural Rubber. It is a unique stopper! Here is a shot of a clear one so you can see the internal workings.

Ingenious mechanical operation. It has stainless steel fingers that grip down around the lip of the bottle, with a rubber seal over the top. When you put it on and snap it down, the spring fingers are pushed into a taper and firmly grasp around to the bottom of the lip, giving a firm spring pressure on the top seal! No more flat pop!

The display has instructional graphics, called E-Z On E-Z Off. It's printed in 4 colors and makes a very attractive store countertop display for liquor and soda pop stores.
