This wood speedboat is a replica of the classic wood speedboats of the 1920’s era. Over a foot long, The Boat is all wood except for the windshield frame and swivel motor mount which are tin. The motor mounts easily with a wedge lock style slide mount. It can swivel from side to side at an arc of about 65 degrees to allow for steering the boat. Painted in classic 1920’s era grandeur. It is called “Bluebird” as painted proudly on it’s hull.

The Long Running wind up tin motor is similar to the first outboards with open flywheels, before they were enclosed in a case. Here is a close-up of the all metal motor,

It uses a strong, wind up, clock spring style motor, flywheel and hardened gear sets to transmit torque to the prop that sits down under the waterline.
