1920's Drug Store Sign Chandlers Saccharin Pellets 17 inch by 13 inch Cardboard This sign was used to sell patent drugs. Chandlers was a major player in the patent medicine market from the turn of the century through WWII. This sign advertises Saccharin Pellets, Concentrated Sweetness in a Handy Form. One Pellet Equals one Teaspoon of Sugar. Pale yellow background with black lettering. A sign like this would have been placed in the front window or high on the back wall. Typical of Rx point of sale Marketing. Says, "Chandler Distributors ~ St Louis, 2, MO. Since 1888. Good old signs like this are getting hard to find. We send it in flat cardboard to prevent damage.
