Cicero Bottling Works

Prohibition Era Subway Sign

Al Capone Beer

This 4 inch x 18 inch thick stock triple waxed sign was used in the sign frames inside subways and buses in Chicago during Prohibition. The Cicero Bottling Works was Al Capone's front for beer delivery in the Chicago area during Prohibition. Capone ran Cicero. The Cicero Bottling Works made soft drink beverages and maintained a large fleet of beverage delivery trucks to call on the small hand full of ma and pa stores that carried their product. Everyone knew why he really needed so many bottled beverage delivery trucks for!

The sign is in Perfect Condition. Minor fading. No nips or tears. It says, Cicero Bottling Works, Highest Quality Beverages, 3100 S. 48th Court Phone Cicero 301. A very rare piece of Prohibition Era memorabilia. We pack it securely and mail it to you First Class U.S. Postal all for $2.85!
