Bag of 20 Marbles Santa Claus Brand ~ Japan 1950's ~ Dime Store Agates This bag of marbles was typical of what 10¢ would get you in the 1950's at the Dime Store. Santa Claus Brand are a clear glass marble with an internal green color swirl of opaque glass that gives them the appearance of a small Christmas ornament. Standard 5/8 inch diameter. The top tag is red & white with an illustration of Santa Claus. The nomenclature reads Santa Claus Brand, and in small print it says Japan . There is a blank spot where the distributor stamped in 20 Pcs. Altogether the tagged bag is about 4 ½ inches by 3 inches. Unused, unopened original unsold merchandise from an old dime store distributors warehouse. This item is typical of stuff in the large Dime Store merchandise finds we made. If you like vintage Dime Store and Variety Store stuff, bookmark us. Notice :This item is a genuine vintage toy from an era when there were no safety standards. It probably contains, or is, a choking hazard, and probably includes other features that are not suitable for children to play with.
