Dual Flip Book Novelty Ad Presto Collar Flipbook Advertising Action Post Card A flipbook is one of the those little books that you flip through the pages to see movie-like action. Sometimes called a penny movie. This flip book contains 25 pages of action, about 5 seconds of animated action of how the Presto Collar works. It is a dual action flipbook. That means that one direction you see one motion picture and the other direction you see a different motion picture. The first direction shows the mans coat collar, the other direction demonstrates the women’s coat collar. The convertible collar is a collar that can be folded and buttoned against the rain and was popular in the 1930’s. When you flip the pages on the men’s side, it demonstrates a man folding up and buttoning down his collar for an impending rain storm. When you turn it around and flip the pages, it demonstrates a lady folding and buttoning her collar against the rain. You get a bonus with this flipbook! The front is a typical photo ad for their product, however the back is set up as a post card to send it to a friend or customer. It says 1¢ postage with signature on back, 4¢ with additional writing. Unique advertising item. It’s not dated, and I really don’t know the actual age. I don’t think it is old because it is in too good of shape.
