Dime Store Display Box

Water Transfer Tattoos

1 Gross Assorted Color Images

This box is a distinctive Hippie era counter top dime store display unit. It’s 6 inches wide and 3 ½ inches tall with the pop up back marquis. It comes unopened with 1 gross (144) water transfer tattoos inside. In the 1950’s these things were called Penny Tattoos. That was because they sold for 1¢.

These are nickel tattoos from the 1960’s and 70’s. No bar code. The color images are of things like a Love Heart, Football Player, Horse and Rider, an Indian, Little Girl with Puppy, Race Car, Fish, etc. About half are boys themes and half are girls themes.

You get the whole box! The illustrated box has colorful graphics of hippie kids and a perforated back marquis that pops up when opened on a counter creating an attractive merchandising display. Called “Beautiful Tattoo”, they are non toxic although there is a warning on the box, Not suggested for use by people with sensitive skin. Unopened, Perfect Condition.
