Stafford’s White Ink

1940’s ~ Glass Bottle

This bottle has never been opened. Stafford ink came in a 1 oz bottle with a tin lithographed screw on lid. Unlike Sheaffer Skrip and Waterman’s, Stafford’s had a simple lid seal arrangement that was not absolutely air tight. Even though the bottle has never been opened, the liquid has evaporated over the last half century leaving a crystallized white powder behind. Other than that it is in Perfect Condition.

It stands 2 inches high and is 1 ½ inches in diameter. White is one of the rarer colors made. The label has interesting 1940's graphic layout. We found 1 box of these in an old dime store.

This item is typical of stuff in the large Dime Store merchandise finds we made. If you like vintage Dime Store and Variety Store stuff, bookmark us. We pack it securely and send it First Class U.S. Postal.
