Collect All 50 States ~ ½ Gross 1978 License Plates 5¢ Store Display Box Full Dime Store display set with merchandise. Small 3 dimensional State auto license plates from 1978. Each plate is 2 ¼ by 1 inch. Actual 1978 State style and colors. They are thick plastic and have a self adhesive back with a protector strip. Good detail, nice era display. They come individually packaged in a small sealed paper envelope. The customer buys a “pig in a poke” because you don’t know which state you are getting until you tear open the envelope. Unique collectors format. 
See Photo Below The illustrated counter top show box has a fold out and snap up back marquis that makes an attractive display. Red, White, Blue and Yellow. It shows several license plates and says, U.S.A. License Plates ~ Collect All 50 States ~ Three Dimensional Stickers Stick on Anything. The box is 5 by 6 ½ inches, 1 ¾ inches thick. With the back marquis snapped up it stands 8 inches high! It has a small circle where the merchant would write in the price, probably 5¢. The box contains 72 (½ Gross) license plates in the mystery paper envelopes. It says, © 1979. Over a quarter century old! Original unsold dime store merchandise. You get the display box and all 72 mystery envelopes, each containing a license plate. Unopened and in Perfect Condition. This item is typical of stuff in the large Dime Store merchandise finds we made. If you like vintage Dime Store and Variety Store stuff, bookmark us.
