Western Theme ~ 1950’s Japan

Cowboy Party Game

Pin The Revolver On the Cowboy

This old fashioned party game is typical of the western theme toy market of the 1950’s. Classic Western cowboy party fun! It consists of a 16 inch by 16 inch thick paper illustration of a cowboy standing with snow caped mountains in the background and green grass under foot. A small log cabin is off to the side, with a rail fence corral and several horses milling about. Classic attire with a 10 gallon wide brim hat, leather holster and fancy cowboy boots. The game also comes with 24 punch out six shooter guns and a black, Lone Ranger Style mask, except the eye holes aren’t there. It comes in an 8 by 10 inch Dime Store display package with a top header card that says Cowboy Game . Made in Japan for Coronet Merchandise Corp. N.Y.C. 3.

The game instructions are printed on one corner of the wall mount playfield. It’s sort of like pin the tail on the donkey, except you pin the six shooter in the cowboys open hand. Look closely at the photo below and you will see a dotted outline in the shape of the pistol where in goes in his outstretched hand.

The black crepe blindfold has an elastic band on the back to hold it in place. The 2 dozen six shooter pistols are 3 inches long and each is individually numbered 1 through 24. No rips, no nips, no creases, no fading, still sealed in the original package. Perfect Condition. Beautiful framing set. They were found in an old box in an old Dime store distributors warehouse on a back shelf. Quality vintage items like these are getting few and far between. We pack it securely and send it First Class U.S. Postal.
