Here is a rare survivor. In the 1950’s Japan sold a cute little bundled baby doll in a receiving blanket. It is about a foot long. They were an immediate success in the US Market. All the little girls wanted a baby doll to cuddle. They are called Straw Dolls because they used to use straw for stuffing.

They have exceptional details including tufts of hair, white receiving gown, and a lined, soft cloth receiving blanket with a lace ribbon tied in a bow. Before Plastic. All cloth.
