1950's Japan ~ Baby Girl Cloth Straw Doll Pink Lined Receiving Blanket Here is a rare survivor. In the 1950’s Japan sold a cute little bundled baby doll in a receiving blanket. It is about a foot long. They were an immediate success in the US Market. All the little girls wanted a baby doll to cuddle. They are called Straw Dolls because they used to use straw for stuffing.
