Tin Litho Flint Sparker

Sparkling Pistol

1960’s in Dime Store Box

This little pistol is 6 inches long. It has tin lithograph sides and a steel trigger. Some plastic. It contains a mechanism that operates when the trigger is pulled. It spins a small stone wheel with a spring loaded flint slug on it. The front of the barrel has red translucent windows on each side, and the end of the barrel is an open ended cone shape. When you pump the trigger it creates a shower of sparks that go through the barrel and emit from the end of the gun. All the while the red translucent lenses sparkle with activity as the sparks jump around headed toward the open end of the barrel.

The box says, Flint Inlet, the rough Chinese translation for a changeable flint. The cap on top of the barrel allows access to put in a new flint. It takes standard cigarette lighter flints from the 1950’s and 60’s. The tin litho has minor handling patina scratches. The box has been stacked for years in an old dime store warehouse and has a few crumples and bruises, but straightens out OK and displays well, otherwise,  Excellent Condition. Original unsold merchandise! Works great.
