    No!  It is assumed the real property is worth well less than $100. The Value does not approach the threshold for property tax purposes in this region.

     

  3. Can the deed be recorded?  Does it have to be?
    Yes it can, no it doesn't have to be. There is a nominal recording fee by the
    McCarthy Recording District in the 3rd Judicial District of the State of Alaska. More information is available at http://www.dnr.state.ak.us/recorders/default.cfm  The Property can be researched in the District of Chitina section of this State of Alaska run website.

     

  4. Is the land really there?
    Yes! In 1968 one acre was divided into 43,560 one square foot lots. These deeds are for one lot each and each deed is printed with the individual lot and block numbers. Each is unique. There were a limited number made and when they are gone, they are gone!

     

  5. Where in Alaska is this land?
    Located about 150 miles northeast of Anchorage, it is near the town of McCarthy, very near the Canadian border.
