This little gadget is a fun toy. It has distinguished tin lithographed “Shamrock Flower Petals” that fit together forming a colorful egg shaped tin shamrock. The tin curved panels have exceptional lithographed color graphics. You hold the device in one hand, and pump the push button with your thumb. The mechanical shamrock starts spinning and when it gains speed the petals slowly open to reveal a standing green clover shamrock.

When the spinning slows down, the shamrocks tin petals snap shut hiding the clover. The sophisticated mechanism does it all. You can’t see the shamrock clover leaf unless you pump the button! About half tin and half plastic. Early 1960’s Japanese import. An extraordinary example of Mechanized Tin Litho. This item is typical of stuff in the large Dime Store merchandise finds we made.
