This relic of the 1940's and 50's was the card in the top marquis frame of a penny scale and fortune ticket vendor. For 1 cent you would get your weight and a ticket with you fortune on it. Fits the Kirk, Pace or Watling Scales and Fortune Telling Machines.

Elegant graphics featuring two observatories and several stars and planets and the moon. The 7 colors are vivid! Yellow heavenly bodies contrast sharply against a dark blue sky. This is an extraordinary and exceptional piece of art. It is strikingly beautiful. It was essential to make it outstanding and prominently displayed to attract patrons to step up and drop a penny in. It has a big 1¢ in the center. Here is a close up of the center.

It is 18 inches wide and 4 inches high. It is printed on thin stiff cardboard. I personally found these in the back of a file that belonged to Ed Pace, and was sold to Johnny Frantz who gave it to me. There was a small stack of a few in the back of a drawer. They were wrapped in paper, separated by tissue and haven't seen daylight for over a half century! This sign would frame well and compliment the wall near any penny scale.

The sign says, Authentic Astrology Readings on the left side, and Your Accurate Weight on the right side. It also says that all readings are changed every month, and The Full Set Consists of 18 Entirely Different Tickets Available Now. It also notes that that you can Drop 18 Pennies for Complete Reading. It doesn't get any better than this. No folds, no nips, no fading. Absolutely Perfect Condition.
