  Window Sign ~ 1960's


This large paper sign was usually taped in the front window of a grocery store, or hung from a string across aisles. It is heavy paper 17 inches by 22 inches. Printed in Coke Red. The top half announces a Weekend Special in the banner at the top, underlined by a reminder, Don't forget Coca-Cola ~ with the traditional 1960's script logo Coca-Cola.

The bottom half is blank for the grocer to write in his weekend special with a black crayon. It was usually something like, Six pack of Coke and a Large bag of chips for so many ¢ or a Case of Coke special, etc. These were supplied by the Coke distributor delivery truck driver to Ma & Pa grocers, liquor Stores, Grocery stores and supermarkets, anyplace that sold Coke in bottles.
