This 1920's sign was provided to grocers and general merchants that sold Gold Cup Coffee. It was part of a promotion that gave away a glass water tumbler for every pound of coffee purchased. This wasn't just any water tumbler, it was a Libbey Safedge water glass.

Many housewives put together their kitchen glassware from promotions like these. Distinctive red graphics printed on thick cardboard, 11 by 8 inches. It says, Free ~ One Libbey Safedge Water Tumbler with every pound of Gold Cup Coffee and has a ¢ sign for the grocer to fill in the price. Some age fading patina along the edges, otherwise Perfect Condition. We pack it securely and mail it to you First Class U.S. Postal.
