Hair Remover ~ Plucking Device

Store Display ~ Easel Sign & Product

Including Accessories, Box with Gold Embossed Foil Label, Instructions, Etc.

This is an exceptionally elegant store display set! It includes the extra thick cardboard store counter top easel display sign with extraordinary graphics of a gal with a 1920's style hair, sitting at a vanity dresser, pulling hair from her legs using a Stainless Steel Tweaker! Phenomenal monotone photo, superimposed with the Advertising text in red, all surrounded by a pink border. It says, The Tweaker ~ Removes Unwanted Hair.

The exquisite easel sign is 12 inches wide, 18 inches high, and has a fold-out easel standup on the back. The Tweaker device comes in a sophisticated, leatherette covered box with instructions and an envelope full of old dried up rubber bands. The Tweaker is a stainless steel instrument that works in conjunction with rubber bands to grasp and pluck unwanted hairs. No rust, perfect condition! The box has a distinguished embossed gold foil seal that says: Hair Tweaker ~ Tweaker Mfg. Co. Chicago.

In 1927, the Tweaker Manufacturing Co. of Chicago advertised a new product selling for $3.50. The Chicago Tribune, not squeamish, carried an advertising sketch of a "Tweaker." Quality Stainless Steel, this instrument resembles a pair of scissors between the points and handles of which four flexible rubber band strands are strung and intertwined in a curious fashion. The owner of a Tweaker proceeds to tweak out a hair by bringing the strands of rubber bands into close proximity with a human hair which is caught and held by squeezing the handles of the Tweaker. Then, according to the Tweaker Company: With a gentle motion it rolls hair out, root and all. All of this is shown in the photo below.

This is a Complete, Genuine Original Unused Store Display Set and includes the store sign and the Tweaker device, Leatherette covered box with Gold embossed label, instructions, etc. Very seldom do we have the opportunity to offer such a fine piece of 1920's vintage Point of Sale merchandising set complete with all it's components. We only have a few dozen. We bought them in the mid 1990's from the son of the man who owned the Tweaker Company. They were kept in a cedar lined closet. When they are gone, they are gone.

Typical inconsequential age patina barely visible around the edge of the easel sign shown in the photo above and the rubber bands are dried out (easily replaceable). Otherwise everything is in Perfect Condition. You get the whole store display set with a Tweaker! Everything that is shown in the photo above. It's heavy, 2 Lbs shipping weight. Buyer pays priority mailing costs.
