Two 1930's Tobacco Box Wrappers

 Reel  &  Pep

These impressive old wrappers have exceptional graphics. Reel features a fishing reel and fisherman. Pep features a track runner and is a cigarette blend used before Ready Rolled Cigarettes. Striking 3 color offset printing. Both are packaged by Scotten Dillon Co. Detroit, Mich.

These genuine Tobacco wrappers fit the 1930's standard Tobacco plug size of an inch thick and 2 ¾ by 4 ½ inches. A tobacco plug was a small compressed puck of tobacco that was the common pocket size to buy. Depending on the cut it would be for smoking or chewing or both. Wrapped in foil and covered with this paper label, It sold for a nickel or a dime, depending on quality.

The wrappers shown in the photo are wrapped around a small block of wood as displayed in my collection. The label dimension before wrapping is 12 by 4 ¼ inches. The few extras I am selling are sent flat, supply your own block or frame them flat. When wrapped, there is text on both sides and the bottom. The top is plain where the tax stamp goes. These are exceptional examples of Between the Wars Americana Tobacco Wrappers. Perfect Condition. You get the pair! We wrap them and pack it securely and mail it to you First Class U.S. Postal.
