The First Indian Motorcycle ~ 1901
In 1901 the first single cylinder Indian motorcycle was built. Indian motorcycles were considered world leaders from 1909-1915, but questionable business practices eventually led to the last production models in 1953. The Chief and Scout were two of the favorite models of Indian motorcycles.
