This display box of 3 dozen 5¢ working toy compasses contains three layers of compasses, a dozen to a layer. They all have a wire loop fob attachment to attach to a tether, keychain, or whatever.

They all work! Each compass is 1 ¾ inches in diameter and 3/8 inch thick. They have Glass lenses! They are made out of deep stamped aluminum, featuring a printed paper escutcheon face plate with the 8 directional bearing indicators, and 2 degree marked increments around the rim, numbered every 20 degrees. In small letters, near South, it says Japan.

The back of the compass is highly reflective and can be used as a sun signal mirror! The round lens is real Glass! No plastic anywhere on these relics from the 1950's! These are actual, unused stock found in a Variety Store Distributors back building.

They come in a store counter display carton 3 layers in the box, a dozen to a layer, 36 in all. The lid folds out into a back marquis. It says, Working Toy Compass ~ 5¢ and has exceptional graphics of a sail boat in the waves. The side says 3 Dozen Compasses ~ Made in Japan ~ Tokyo Importers, New York 17, N.Y.  They all work! There is insignificant surface age patina on some of the compasses needles, otherwise, Perfect Condition!

Still in their dime store display box! The box is 7 ½ by 5 ½ and a little over an inch thick. You get the whole lot of 3 dozen! Your order includes all 36 compasses, and the display box!
