Great large graphics of Elsie's Food Line “Train Ride with Elsie” that was popular at her traveling shows! These posters were taken around to communities with different Borden's distributors by an advance man to promote the personal visit by Elsie The Cow, Beauregard, and Their Cowdillac traveling barn and Borden's Train ride promotional Grocery Store Parking Lot Show. They would go to the Borden's Retailers in one area for a week or so, and move on to a different town the next week. It was a very popular Road Show for the consumers from the late 1950's through the early 1970's. The "Advance" man had a simple block printer that he would fill in the yellow space at the bottom of the poster with date and place, Sometimes a grocer would write it in with a crayon. This poster is unused and in Perfect Condition A genuine Elsie collectors delight. |
