This Midgetoy Oil Tanker truck is an exact scale example of a 1950’s model. The cab and trailer are individual pieces. The accurate details are phenomenal! This toy is from an era when they made toys durable! Comes with the original dime store display card and blister cover! The Tanker trailer with the cab is over 8 inches long. The cab is blue and the trailer is green. According to old catalogs, the Midgetoy Oil Company truck was manufactured by Midgetoy during the late 1950's and early 60’s in Rockford Illinois.

Real rubber wheels!
The semi-truck cab is the same one they sold to Lionel for their inclusion with the cargo carrier train set! The patent date is from 1957. Both pieces are die cast with Real Rubber Wheels! The variety store display card it comes with has slight yellowing around the edge and on the back. It is factory marked $1.00, and is ornamented with the famous Midgetoy Elves.
1950's at it's Finest!
The plastic blister bubble has yellowed slightly, but all is 100% intact. Minor rubs and typical patina, minor surface rust on axle. Almost Perfect Condition! If you collect Gasoline or Oil items or if you collect die cast vehicles, or Matchbox style vehicles and trucks, Lionel Accessories, or especially if you collect Midgetoy, This Is As Good As It Gets!
