These posters were taken around to communities with different Borden's distributors by an advance man to promote the personal visit by Elsie The Cow. She was really a store employee dressed up in a Elsie costume and sitting in a booth just as shown on the poster. She would carry on conversations and greet visitors.

The Advance man had a simple block printer that he would fill in the yellow space at the bottom of the poster with date and place. Sometimes they were also done with a crayon by the grocer. This poster is unused and in Perfect Condition. A real Elsie collectors delight. 24 by 30 inches.
